As you know, the quality of the film as well as the loading of your pallets are two very important points to take into account. Ripack explains why.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>What does the European standard for transport packaging say?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The European standard for transport packaging EUMOS 40509 defines the stability criteria for truck loads. These criteria are measurable by means of tests specified in the standard, including :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The securing of a pallet inside a truck must not allow it to move horizontally by more than 5% of its height or 6 cm if its height is less than 1200mm.<\/li>\n<li>Its oscillations may not exceed 10% of its height.<\/li>\n<li>The various layers of a composite pallet will not be able to slide more than 2% of their height.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In short, unsuitable, too fragile or unstable packaging can lead to the immediate and total immobilization of a truck during a customs or gendarmerie check.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Why is it important to choose the right film?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>If the responsibility for the load lies with the sender, the damage in case of immobilization will also be shared by the consignee with the imaginable consequences for their future relations.<\/p>\n<p>Shrink-wrapping with Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) shrink film guarantees that loads are perfectly held on their pallet, even when they are of various sizes and shapes, making stacking more hazardous.<\/p>\n<p>Once correctly shrunk, a LDPE film cover ensures that the goods are held in place by concentric clamping without any deformation of the goods to offer a unique, solid and recyclable homogeneous packaging.<\/p>\n<p>It will be a question of defining which film best suits your packaging needs.
